The CUNY School of Professional Studies is currently accepting applications for the Master of Arts in Disability Studies for the Spring 2012 semester.
The deadline for applications for Spring 2012 is November 15, 2011. Applications submitted earlier will be considered before the deadline.
All applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Background as a human services professional, advocate, researcher or policy maker will be an advantage but is not essential. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

- Transcripts: Have official copies of all transcripts from each previously attended college or university sent to the CUNY School of Professional Studies. A transcript request form and additional instructions are contained within the online application system.
- Application Fee: The application fee is $125. Payment is made via the online application system using your credit or debit card.
- International Applicants: In addition to the online application, International Students must complete the International Student Application - Supplemental form .
Note for International Applicants:
International applicants must present authoritative evidence of sufficient competence in the English language to pursue a regular course of study at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. An applicant has who has not studied in an English-speaking country must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), administered internationally by Educational Testing Service, and request ETS to report examination results directly to the Admissions Office, the City University Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10016.

A student residing alone in New York City should have about $30,000 for the year to cover tuition, books, room, board, and personal expenses.
University assistance for which international students are eligible to compete is extremely limited and may not be adequate to fund the student's total expenses. Before receiving a visa for entrance into the United States, students must certify (documentary evidence is required) that they are financially able to support themselves for the entire period of their stay in the United States while pursuing a full course of study.
