The MA in Psychology Program’s Day in the Life series provides students with an opportunity to learn about and speak directly with those actively working in the fields of Industrial/Organizational (I/O) and Developmental Psychology, the two concentrations offered in the program. In line with the purpose of the series, Clemente I. Diaz, MA, is our featured I/O speaker for the fall semester.

Clemente is an Industrial/Organizational (I/O) psychology practitioner with extensive experience in higher education administration. Over the past decade, he has held numerous roles in higher education, including Assistant Director of Recruiting and Operations, Chief Diversity Officer Representative, and most recently Associate Director of College Now. In addition to his current role, Clemente has been an adjunct faculty member at CUNY SPS since 2017.

Clemente is also chair of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP)’s Bridge Builders Committee and co-founder of the CUNY I/O Practitioners Network. He is passionate about implementing evidence-based practices with higher education administration, exposing students and educators to the field of I/O psychology, and debunking commonly held workplace and education myths. During this event, he will discuss his path to I/O Psychology, his past and current positions, and how it all ties to the broader field of I/O Psychology.

This talk will be 30-40 minutes, with a 20-30 minute Q & A to follow.

All CUNY SPS students are welcome to attend.
