11th Annual Education Digital Marketing Award Gold Winners Badge

The CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) is proud to announce that the Office of Marketing and Communications has received major industry recognition, earning gold, silver, and merit accolades in the 11th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards.

"The School is incredibly fortunate to have such a cohesive team that works hard to promote CUNY SPS in so many different and innovative ways," said chief marketing and communications officer Andrea Fagon. "I'm incredibly proud of the team who are also the first CUNY campus team to win this recognition."

The gold award was for The CUNY SPS Blog  – Blogs Category. Under the leadership of communications publications writer-editor Ariana Souzis, an original, innovative story about CUNY SPS is posted on Medium.com. The editorial team also includes writer Lisa Sheridan and Marisa Osorio, PEWL's writer and communications specialist.

Some examples from the award-winning blog include series that explore students’ Credit for Prior Learning stories; staff and faculty who work behind the scenes; and posts featuring academic program highlights, online learning tips, monthly observances, highlights about programs led by the Office of Professional Education and Workplace Learning (PEWL), profiles of students, faculty, alumni, staff, and much more.

The Marketing and Communications team also received a silver award for the CUNY SPS Community Report – Annual or Community Report Category. This prize is in recognition of the CUNY SPS Magazine, which is published yearly, and also led by Souzis as its editor-in-chief and designed by Senior Graphic Designer Kelly Cunningham, with photography by Luis Yanez and Phil Stein.

Lastly, the team won a merit award for the “Get The Flexibility You Need at CUNY SPS” Digital Special Video (under two minutes) category, which was created by agency partner Miller Advertising.

Rounding out the talented marketing and communications team are the manager of marketing and digital communications Marissa Armanios; digital strategy manager Nicole Erazo; videographer Dariun Robinson; social media coordinator Shaniya Clarke; web developer William Kellogg; and graphic designer Dorothy Robinson
