The Advanced Certificate in Management (ACM) is a fully online (100% asynchronous) graduate-level program where students explore essential aspects of contemporary management theory.

It consists of the following three graduate-level courses:

  • MGMT 680 - Human Resource Management
  • MGMT 681 - Financial Management
  • BUS 600 - Organizational Behavior and Leadership

The program places significant emphasis on workplace communication, conflict resolution, and self-assessment of one's leadership style.

As a student in the program, you will:

  1. Cultivate a solid foundation in financial management, organizational behavior, and human resource management to develop professional expertise
  2. Strengthen your abilities in communication, conflict resolution, and leadership, thereby enhancing your overall skill set
  3. Broaden your knowledge and proficiency through practical experience, constructive feedback, and networking opportunities

Professionals from diverse workplace sectors enroll in this program to enhance their managerial skills and gain insight into employee motivation, supervision, and financial resource management within for-profit and non-profit organizations.

If they choose to do so, applicants admitted to the ACM can transfer up to six credits (two classes) with an earned grade of B or higher into the MS in Business Management and Leadership program (MSBML), upon completion of the ACM program with a 3.0 grade average for all three courses in the program. (Those admitted prior to Fall 2020 can transfer up to nine credits).

This option is ideal for those who are looking to explore what graduate-level coursework is like and do not wish to immediately commit to a Master’s-level program, such as the MSMBL.
