Zahrie is a native New Yorker who is currently pursuing her Master’s in Research Administration and Compliance at CUNY SPS. Zahrie works in grants administration in Manhattan. She lives with her partner and two cats (Pepper and Patsy).

Before working in grants administration, Zahrie implemented an e-waste recycling program in Brooklyn, was a lead auditor and project manager at her company for various manufacturing certifications, and supervised a study on ecological systems and poverty traps in Tanzania.

Zahrie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Rhode Island in 2016. She then achieved her PMI Project Management Professional certification in 2018.

Zahrie Ernst, a student in the CUNY SPS MS in Research and Administration Compliance program, was the lead project manager for MyCOVIDRisk app. This free and publicly available app, developed by the Brown-Lifespan Center for Digital Health, is designed to help people assess their COVID risks.
