Dr. Isabelle Elisha, the associate director of the CUNY SPS psychology program, and Rayven-Nikkita Collins, an MA candidate in psychology, have co-written the article “Resilience: Within-Group Variations in the Impact of Racial Discrimination on Black Youth's Mental Health." The piece, published in the journal Policy Insights from the Behavioral and Brain Sciences, discusses the importance of recognizing the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and needs of Black youth in order to promote better mental health outcomes.

Enhancing Effective Instruction and Learning Using Assessment Data

Dr. Jason Bryer, assistant professor and associate director of the data science and information systems programs at CUNY SPS, has co-written a chapter in the book "Enhancing Effective Instruction and Learning Using Assessment Data" available now through Information Age Publishing. The chapter, entitled "The Use of Predictive Modeling for Assessing College Readiness," introduces software for automating some aspects of developmental education and the use of predictive modeling.
